I was born in the blistering cold city of Calgary Alberta, Canada. Yep that’s right, way up in cold Canada where we live in igloos (okay no, we don’t actually live in igloos, BUT Calgary can be as cold as Hades.)
At age 7 my family chose to move to the polar opposite which was Puerto Vallarta, Mexico in 1998. This was a fantastic experience, and really gave me a wider view of the world in how others live. The wild life and culture is also amazing down there and added to me as a person.
There I grew up until I eventually ended up moving back to Canada at 19 for work, but Mexico will always hold a very special place in my heart (and that’s not just because of the tacos.)
In Canada, I quickly found myself living in the beautiful Frazer Valley, British Columbia. (And yeah that was mainly to get away from the blistering cold.)
Like many young people, I found myself doing a number of different jobs, from serving tables, to window cleaning. Until I made my way into the insurance business.
I learned a lot about the business world in the years I spent working in this industry, and I truly appreciate all that I learned from it.
During that time though, I started writing my first book and enrolled myself in the AWAI Direct Mail Copy Writing course.
This is where I found my true calling… writing. I had always been an avid reader (one of those stuck in a book type kids) but I hadn’t thought of writing personally as a career. That all changed when I decided to give it a go.
Since 2014 I’ve completed a couple books, and have graduated from both the direct mail, and web copy writing courses through AWAI.
These courses helped me learn how to write great copy, as well as choose my niche- health and fitness.
I’ve always been very much into taking care of yourself through working out and eating right. So the desire to help people physically through writing, as well as making a living from something you believe in, was easy.
I’m very passionate about doing what you love and believe in. I love writing fictitious novels, as well as health and fitness copy, and truly agree with the motto:
“If you do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life.”
I believe that with this mindset, hard work, and determination anything is possible. Never, ever give up on your dreams.
